That painting is beautiful. I'm looking forward to finding out what happened to all of your father's artworks - and if he was able to make a living as an artist?

Thanks! I spend a lot of time trying to trace the paintings so that's definitely coming up soon. And he didn't really make a living as an artist, although his picture-framing business kept him adjacent to the art world. Then he was able to retire and paint.

Nice. Beautiful painting. I especially like the analysis paragraph that begins..."Do I actually want to be a character in that scene though?" My hope is that you do!

Iโ€™m not sure about that. I wrote it as more of a counter narrative, which was transparently childish. Of course, it would have been great to find my dadโ€™s art on the wall there! But the scene itself was meant to be an exorcism-- something I could write out instead of living out. To discuss! ๐Ÿ˜
